Perkin Elmer Reservoir WoodsResiding in two buildings, one with labs for scientists and researchers and the other with offices for salespeople and upper management, PerkinElmer decided it was time to unite all employees and move into one building. The 100,000 square foot facility was designed with a demonstration lab off of the waiting area where PerkinElmer is able to showcase products relevant to the visitors in the office. In fact, there were many labs that needed to be put into a building originally designed for only office space. The ADD Inc/RDK design team overcame the challenge by building out the labs on the first floor followed by a floor of offices and a floor above that dedicated to holding all the fans and HVAC equipment. PerkinElmer’s world headquarters was the 2008 winner for “Offices Over 80,000 square feet” by IIDA New England – Interior Design Awards. RDK is proud to have helped create this facility where PerkinElmer can continue to make strides in improving the health and safety of people and the environment. |
