Manadrin Oriental L’Espalier Restaurant

Adjacent to the Mandarin Oriental sits L’Espalier, a historic Boston restaurant and bar with seating for 320 people. Design of this popular restaurant includes a full-service kitchen with exhaust and make-up air that it shares with its sister restaurant, Sel de la Terre. RDK participated in design of how best to proportion these systems while being cognizant of the open atmosphere. The kitchen is completely visible through a glass window in the Shops at the Prudential Center thus requiring the design team to position equipment in the kitchen in certain places for favorable viewing.
