Foundation Lounge at the Hotel CommonwealthFit-out into the actual “foundation” of the Hotel Commonwealth, gives this 3,300 square foot lounge in Kenmore square, which is frequented by hotel guests, athletes, and celebrities, its namesake. Working with Gensler, RDK gave special attention to the design of the lighting in order to create the hip atmosphere the lounge was aiming for. The entire lounge operates on a light dimming system and reflective lighting was designed specifically for the bar area to highlight the bottles on the shelves. This high end space, containing a bar, lounge area, kitchen, office space, and a walk-in cooler was the perfect addition to the hotel and Boston’s Kenmore Square area. |
