UMASS Medical School’s new Advanced Center for Clinical Education and Science is a 258,000 SF, 9-story building designed to collocate advanced medical education, clinical research and ambulatory patient care programs in one facility. The collocation of the three program elements will provide the environment necessary for the integration of clinical research, medical education, and the translation of those efforts into the most advanced practices in patient care. Among other programs is the new Center for Experiential Learning and Simulation, one of the most advanced simulation centers in the world. RDK served as MEP/FP engineer on the design/build team for construction of the cutting-edge facility. Building systems were designed with flexibility to support rapidly evolving medical systems technology and clinical practices.
