RDK designed all MEP systems for LEED CI fit-out of Acuity's offices and lighting gallery/showroom, located on three floors of 5 Penn Plaza in New York City. Acuity is a leading vendor of sustainable, energy-efficient lighting solutions, many of which were incorporated into design of the space. In the showroom, all of the lighting fixtures on display are controlled individually by a programmable lighting control system. Other sustainable features include daylight harvesting and a computer-controlled shade system that automatically raises and lowers the shades in response to the amount of sunlight available. In addition to systems design, RDK also provided commissioning services for the project.
