Bridgewater State College's newest residence hall is an 83,000 SF facility housing 300 students in 85 modern suites. Each suite has private bathrooms and is fully wired for voice and data connectivity. Also part of the new residential complex is a 33,000 SF dining hall with seating for 750 in open dining areas and smaller conference/dining areas, as well as offices, a central arcade/gallery area, and retail facilities. In addition to providing housing for Bridgewater students during the academic year, the facility is designed to be used for conferencing/hoteling during summer months.
As MEP/FP/T engineers on the project, RDK provided design and construction support services for all building systems in the new residential/dining complex, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, electrical and tel/data systems.
