UNC Health Care's Wellness Center at Amberly is key feature of the 1,000 + acre, 4,500 home planned mixed-use community. The new 60,000 SF facility includes fitness areas for strength training, cardio & a variety of programs; a gym, running track, rock wall and a natatorium with pool and whirlpool; retail spaces; cooking kitchens for nutrition classes; and wellness and treatment facilities for physical therapy and rehabilitation. RDK Engineers NC, as PWI Consulting Engineers – Southeast, designed all MEP/FP systems for the facility, one of many projects they have completed for the UNC Health Care System.
