RDK designed shell & core building systems for these two new Class A commercial buildings: 50 Connell Drive, which contains 187,000 SF of space on 4 stories, and 500 Connell Drive, with 257,788 SF on 7 stories. 50 Connell Drive was designed to attain LEED Silver certification, and numerous sustainable features were incorporated into designs for both buildings, such as shower facilities to encourage occupants to bike rather than drive to work; waterless urinals; and systems to monitor and control outdoor air delivery and indoor air quality. RDK also developed designs for telecommunications and security systems for both buildings, including intrusion detection, CCTV and access control systems.
