RDK designed building systems for expansion of two state-of-the-art Polyclad electronics material manufacturing facilities in New Hampshire and California. Work on the projects, which involved renovation of over 65,000 SF including construction of over 12,000 SF of new class 10,000 and class 1000 cleanroom areas, net oil press systems, heat recovery units, and QA/QC packaging areas was completed on a "design-bid-build" basis, in order to meet the aggressive schedules required. RDK served as Project Manager for the design-build teams, and provided all mechanical and electrical design services on the projects. RDK's work also included life cycle cost analyses of major system components and value engineering, as well as full-time oversight and coordination during commissioning of controls, balancing, and training, and project closeout.
