The Northfield Mount Herman School’s new $22 million Rhodes Center for the Arts is a 63,000 SF performing and visual arts complex with a 250-seat concert hall, a 280-seat main stage theatre, a 100-seat drama/dance studio theatre, choral & instrumental rehearsal spaces, faculty teaching offices, practice rooms and teaching studios. RDK designed all MEP/FP and Tel/Data systems for the project, including a control room for the theatres; scene & costume shops; dressing rooms; 2 dance studios; and 6 visual arts studios. A number of sustainable/energy conserving features were incorporated into designs for the facility to attain LEED certification.
