We are currently searching for an experienced HVAC Engineer with a background in the New Jersey/New York building and construction industry. The ideal candidate will have relationships with prospective clients and be able to secure engineering design work for RDK's New Jersey office. Will also be responsible for project planning, budget/schedule management in order to complete work on time and profitably. Also will successfully manage projects through demonstrated technical and managerial skills.
A four-year technical or engineering degree and a solid understanding of mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering disciplines is required. At least five years of relevant design experience in the architectural or engineering industry required. Should be proficient in the operation of computer systems including Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel. Exposure to Deltek products and AutoCAD a plus. Position also requires excellent presentation, organizational and communication skills. Relocation assistance is not offered.

Responsibilities may include site surveys, engineering calculations and design work on a number of concurrent engineering projects. Candidates should have an interest in facility design and engineering for new construction as well as renovations. Using knowledge of RDK projects, specifies engineering systems from catalogs. Also be proficient in the use of computer systems including MSOffice and AutoCAD 2002 or above, and load calculation software. Excellent written and oral communication skills also required.
HVAC Engineer
We are currently seeking an HVAC Engineer for our New Jersey Office, which recently opened in New Brunswick. Applicants must have a thorough understanding of the principles of HVAC systems design. Responsibilities may include site surveys, engineering calculations, layout and design work on a number of concurrent projects for both private and public sector clients. Exposure to electrical, fire protection and plumbing disciplines helpful for coordination of trades.
Prior experience (5-10 years) in the design of mechanical building systems for a variety of building types is required, BSME engineering degree and PE preferred. Candidates should also be proficient in the operation of computer systems including Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and AutoCAD 2002 or above, strong project and construction management skills and excellent written and oral communication skills. May oversee more junior engineers and CAD staff.
Electrical Engineer
Our New Jersey Office has a full-time opening for an Electrical Engineer. Candidates will have a thorough understanding of the principles of electrical systems design. Responsibilities will include site surveys, engineering calculations and design work on a number of concurrent projects for a variety of private sector clients. Candidates should have 7-10 years of relevant facility design experience including power distribution up to 600V, emergency and standby generation systems, UPS systems for mission critical applications, fire alarm and lighting applications including conformance to applicable energy codes.
Candidates should have an interest in facility design and engineering for new construction as well as renovations along with a Bachelors Degree in electrical engineering. Relevant experience in the architectural, engineering, or construction industry preferred. Must be proficient in the operation of computer systems including Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and AutoCAD 2004 or above along with strong organizational skills and excellent written and oral communication skills. Building systems experience a plus.
