Project Manager
We are currently seeking a Project Manager at our Andover Office to plan, develop, coordinate and direct a number of projects concurrently, including acting as primary contact for the Company in all contractual and project-related communications. Work closely with Group Leader to ensure that RDK goals and guidelines are maintained. Develop new and maintain existing client relationships, develop business opportunities and promote RDK's services, reputation and name throughout the industry.
Assist in defining staffing needs for specific projects and coordinating staff assignments with the Principal Engineers to ensure optimal utilization of staff and timely delivery of high quality products and services.
College degree in engineering required along with a minimum of ten years experience designing and managing projects independently. Also must have a thorough understanding of the principles of the discipline he/she is designing. Must keep current through continuing education. Must have strong leadership, problem-solving and communication skills.
Commissioning Engineer (Electrical)
We are currently seeking a Commissioning Engineer (Electrical) for the Building Solutions Group, based at our Andover office. Applicants must have a thorough understanding of the principles of electrical design. Responsibilities include development of commissioning plans and specifications, design review, writing functional performance test narratives, and site observations (including multiple days on a job site).
Six to ten years of relevant experience in designing and construction administration for a variety of building types is required. Engineering degree preferred, project management interest is required. Candidates should also be proficient in the operation of computer systems including Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and AutoCAD 2004. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Mechanical/HVAC Engineers
We are currently seeking several Mechanical (HVAC) Design Engineers for our Andover location. Applicants must have a thorough understanding of the principles of HVAC systems design. Responsibilities may include site surveys, engineering calculations and design work on a number of concurrent projects for both private and public sector clients. Four to eight years of relevant experience designing mechanical building systems for a variety of building types is required. BSME engineering degree preferred, project management interest is a plus.
Candidates should also be proficient in the operation of computer systems including Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and AutoCAD 2000 or above along with strong project and construction management skills and excellent written and oral communication skills. May oversee more junior engineers and CAD staff.
Electrical Engineer
Our Andover office has a full-time opening for an Electrical Engineer. Candidates will have a thorough understanding of the principles of electrical systems design. Responsibilities will include site surveys, engineering calculations and design work on a number of concurrent projects for a variety of private and public sector clients. Candidates should have 1-3 years of relevant facility design experience including power distribution up to 600V, emergency and standby generation systems, UPS systems for mission critical applications, fire alarm and lighting applications including conformance to applicable energy codes.
Candidates should have an interest in facility design and engineering for new construction as well as renovations along with a Bachelors Degree in electrical engineering. Relevant experience in the architectural, engineering, or construction industry preferred. Must be proficient in the operation of computer systems including Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and AutoCAD 2002 or above along with strong organizational skills and excellent written and oral communication skills.
Mechanical or Electrical Co-op
We have a talented group of professionals, and are currently searching for a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Co-op student. Duties include assisting group leader & engineers in the development of engineering standards; utilization of AutoCAD to produce engineering plans and specifications on a variety of projects; may perform field surveys to determine and document existing conditions.
Candidates with prior relevant experience using AutoCAD 2004 (or above) and/or Autodesk Building Systems in an architectural or engineering setting are preferred. Marketing Director
RDK Engineers, one of the region?s leading MEP/FP firms, has experienced significant growth in the last few years. We are seeking a seasoned Marketing Director with the vision needed to take our marketing department to the next level, as well as the management skills & hands on ability to lead our talented marketing team in enhancing our current marketing program to support our continued growth.
Responsibilities include development and implementation of marketing, proposal, and organizational strategies. Prior experience managing high volume marketing/proposal production programs in the A/E/C industry is required. Experience implementing Deltek Proposals systems a definite plus.
Qualified candidates must be proficient in marketing software programs (inDesign, Photoshop, Powerpoint, etc.) Must be skilled at communicating with external clients and internal staff at all levels within the organization and possess excellent technical writing, editing and proofreading skills. AutoCAD Help Desk
We have a talented group of professionals, and are currently searching for CAD Technician for our Andover office. Reporting to the CAD Manager, this position will support approximately 100+ CAD users within RDK by providing Auto CAD Help Desk services. Ideal candidate should be technically inclined with ability to troubleshoot various AutoCAD and AutoCAD related software program issues. Will also handle multi-discipline CAD drafting, approximately 50% of the time. Will also order supplies, maintain plotters and assist with CAD standard projects.
Candidates with prior relevant experience using AutoCAD 2004 (or above) and/or Autodesk Building Systems in an architectural or engineering setting are preferred. We will consider recent graduates with an Associates degree in drafting or CAD Technology. Candidates must also possess experience with or above and be proficient in the operation of computer systems including Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel. Excellent verbal communication skills required.
