Carnegie Abby TowersThe 220-foot-tall Kaiser Aluminum Tower, a vacant building overlooking Portsmouth, Rhode Island's beautiful Mount Hope Bay since the 1980's, was demolished and replaced by the majestic, $80M New Carnegie Abby Towers high-rise, a prestigious new luxury waterfront residential complex. The 22-story tower includes 80 luxury condominium units, each with a private entrance off a central elevator, parking, a library and a variety of facilities, including a health club, outdoor pool, multiple cabanas, tennis courts, and modern exercise/healthclub amenities. RDK's design for the building included specialty MEP systems for the high-rise, critical fire and life safety systems, and a new boiler/chiller plant for the complex which is situated apart from the residential tower. The new high-rise successfully replaced what locals had considered an idle architectural blemish with a new, world-class, high-end residential complex. With breathtaking views (one can see as far away as Providence some 30 miles away), uncompromised standards, and unmatched amenities, Carnegie Abby Towers offer residents unparalleded housing for taking pleasure in their "Newport Experience". |
