South Shore Ambulatory Center CommissioningA hospital is one place in which air quality is of vital importance. The Commissioning Team at RDK was asked to make sure that the water and air balance at a newly created ambulatory cancer center at South Shore Hospital was operating at optimal capacity before it opened its doors. Knowing that this ambulatory care center would see thousands of patients annually who need chemotherapy, injections, infusions, transfusions and vaccines, the RDK Commissioning Team wanted to make sure they did a thorough review of all designated systems. Adhering to sustainable design practices, RDK’s Commissioning services at the center included the development of a commissioning test plan and schedule, pre-functional performance testing, observation of systems installation and the performance test process, testing of the BAS System throughout the commissioning process, a final report, and then facilitation of third party testing, adjusting and balancing services. RDK also provided operator training handbooks for facilities maintenance staff, as well as suggested preventive maintenance work orders for the Facility Director for all systems they commissioned. |
