Duke Medical Office Building by RDK Engineers

Duke Medical Patterson Place Medical Office Building

RDK, along with Isley Hawkins Architects, provided design services for the Patterson Place Women’s health complex in Durham, NC. The design services took place in the following four clinics within the facility:

1. The Harris Smith OBGYN Clinic
2. Women’s Health Associates Clinic
3. Dermatology Practice
4. Urogynecology Practice
 

Full mechanical, electrical and plumbing services were provided to each clinic. In an effort to reduce energy usage, RDK incorporated lighting power design with lighting control systems in all four clinics.

The design team worked closely with the Duke Medical staff throughout the project in order to make sure all of their needs were met. To assure the comfort of the patients and staff, RDK performed the services with minimal disruption in occupied spaces.
