IBM Tenant Improvements

RDK was happy to work with ADD Inc on IBM’s consolidation of its local software divisions into two campuses in Westford and Littleton, Massachusetts. After acquiring various software companies and relocating them to the Littleton facility, one of IBM’s goals was to preserve each acquired company’s culture while incorporating it into the overall identity of IBM. This was accomplished by incorporating colors from each company throughout the facility. RDK recommended sustainable features into the design including EnergyStar appliances, low-flow plumbing fixtures, high-efficiency lighting, zoned heating and air conditioning that can be offset by heat from sunlight, and a storm water collection system. The 494,000 square foot building, included 60,000 square feet of data center and lab space, a kitchen, dining area, conference rooms, and a fitness center, and is home for over 2,200 of IBM’s 5,000 Massachusetts employees.
