Eaton Vance by RDK Engineers

Eaton Vance

When Eaton Vance, a Boston-based investment management firm, decided to consolidate its offices and have its employees work together in one location, they asked CBT Architects to design a state-of-the art space, and contracted RDK to engineer the fit-out of this major renovation.  Eaton Vance moved its headquarters onto 10 floors of mid-rise space previously occupied by Deutsche Bank Corporation.

The fit-out of the new office included new trading desks, reception areas, conference rooms, kitchen, cafe and training facilities. It also included outdoor space for employees and client entertaining as well as a landscaped roof deck. The RDK Team was able to offer a unique perspective of the space as they had already completed projects in the building and knew the layout of the space very well.

For this particular project and many others, the RDK Team was glad that instead of just going in and gutting the space, they were able to retain some of the existing design and find the value in what was already in place. Knowing the space also allowed the team to propose cost savings strategies and minimize cost wherever possible.
