DigitasDigitas, one of the country’s largest and fastest growing digital and direct marketing companies, hired RDK as part of the Kling Stubbins project team to find a new building in which to relocate their world headquarters. Digitas’ goals were to relocate to downtown Boston and find a space that was very open to encourage group interaction and team collaboration among employees. After evaluating eight buildings, the team found just that at 33 Arch Street where Digitas became the anchor tenant in the then new building. The team entrusted with finding their new home continued to fit out the 210,000 square foot space, which included the design of a data center and required relocation of equipment with no downtime. RDK also designed HVAC systems consisting of fan powered VAV boxes, electrical systems consisting of high efficiency lighting and occupancy sensors/lighting control systems, plumbing systems consisting of low consumption fixtures with automatic flushing devices, automatic sensors, and fire protection systems for the general office space and sensitive areas such as computer rooms. |
