100 Hancock StreetWhen the major tenant moved out of the building, the new owner, Griffith Properties, seized the opportunity to upgrade the unoccupied building to position it as Class A office space in Quincy and get it ready for potential new tenants. Additions were made to the first floor for all future tenants to take advantage of included a new lobby, cafeteria, and fitness center. Working alongside of ADD Inc, RDK designed upgrades to the existing base building systems including the chiller, air-handling units, cooling tower, piping, associated pumps and controls serving the building. The upgrades include replacing the existing cooling tower, the plate and frame heat exchanger, chiller, AHU, rooftop make-up air unit, pipe integrity analysis, and DDC controls. All of these upgrades led to a LEED Core & Shell Silver Certification and 448.2 tons of carbon dioxide saved, making 100 Hancock a great healthy choice for your next office. |
