100 Hancock Street Building by RDK Engineers

100 Hancock Street

When the major tenant moved out of the building, the new owner, Griffith Properties, seized the opportunity to upgrade the unoccupied building to position it as Class A office space in Quincy and get it ready for potential new tenants. Additions were made to the first floor for all future tenants to take advantage of included a new lobby, cafeteria, and fitness center.

Working alongside of ADD Inc, RDK designed upgrades to the existing base building systems including the chiller, air-handling units, cooling tower, piping, associated pumps and controls serving the building. The upgrades include replacing the existing cooling tower, the plate and frame heat exchanger, chiller, AHU, rooftop make-up air unit, pipe integrity analysis, and DDC controls. All of these upgrades led to a LEED Core & Shell Silver Certification and 448.2 tons of carbon dioxide saved, making 100 Hancock a great healthy choice for your next office.
